Overview Infrared Dialing on 4600 Series Phones Overview Several phones in the 4600 Series include an infrared (IR) port at the front of the phone. This includes the 4606, 4612, 4624 and 4620. • The port appears as a dark plastic window just in front of the phones dialing keys.

If you are unsure of the file format used by your IR device, you can try beaming a contact anyway. The display on the 4600 Series phone will display the name of the file it received. If that ends in .vcf then the phone should dial the number in the VCard file.
