In order to obtain the best possible results from
your air conditioner, it is important that you
operate it properly. This section will tell you how
to operate the unit and program the remote
control.
NOTE:
If you turn the air conditioner off, or it
turns off after reaching a selected temperature,
the compressor will stay off for
3
minutes to
prevent a fuse from blowing or any unnecessary
wear on the parts.
Electrical
Shock Hazard

Plug unit only into grounded electrical
outlet.
l
Do not use an extension cord.
l
Do not operate unit with front panel
removed.
Failure to follow the above precautions could
result in electrical shock or personal injury.
Starting
the air conditioner
using the
remote
control
1.
Select an
operating
mode by pressing
the
corresponding
pad in the ON/MODE column.
The name of the pad you press will appear in the
display, and the air conditioner will turn on.
CCCL
The compressor and fan run until
the temperature setting is
satisfied. Then compressor turns
off but fan continues to run.
COOLS The compressor and fan run until
the temperature setting is satisfied.
Then both cycle on and off to keep
the temperature constant.
FANS
The fan runs until the tempera-
ture setting is satisfied.
FAN
The fan runs constantly.
DRY
The unit acts like a dehumidifier
and pulls excess moisture out of
the room air.
NOTE:
The CCCL* and FANIT settings save
energy by cycling the fan/compressor on and
off instead of running them constantly.
