f For safety reasons, check the safety valve twice each year. f
f Turn the vent cap two or three times anti-clockwise. f
During heat-up, expansion water must drip into the drain outlet
[GB: Tundish].
No water must drip out after heat-up has terminated.
9.1.2 Cleaning / replacing the safety valve
f Rotate the shut-off valve 90° upwards to close the cold water f
f Open the tap to depressurise the water heater. f
f Undo the safety valve. f
f Clean the seat and gasket. f
f Refit the safety valve. f
f Replace the entire safety valve if a repair becomes necessary. f
