Assembling the Wrist Disarticulation Myoelectric Hand

There have been a lot of questions lately about how to correctly assemble the Wrist
Disarticulation Myoelectric Hand. This Academy Tech Tip provides step-by-step instructions.
Figure 1 provides an exploded view of the hand chassis to help determine orientation of
components for assembly.
Step 1- Place friction ring (Fig. 1, 1.3) on hand chassis (Fig. 1, 1.1) so serrations line up.
Make sure the built in rubber gasket is placed toward the hand chassis.
Step 2 – Place 4 plastic spacing washers (1.4) into groove of the friction ring (Fig. 1, 1.3).
Step 3 – Place O-ring (Fig. 1, 1.5) on the lamination ring (Fig. 1, 1.2).
Step 4 – Start to thread lamination ring (Fig1, 1.2) onto hand chassis (Fig1, 1.1). Be very
careful not to cross thread the lamination ring (Fig. 1, 1.2) to the hand chassis.
