    1 Introduction Congratulations on your purchase of the NORAC UC4.5 Spray Height Control System. This system is manufactured with top quality components and is engineered using the latest technology to provide operating reliability unmatched for years to come. The enhanced stability option is designed to improve performance on booms that have multiple pivot geometries, or problematic pivot behavior.

    MANUAL INSTALLATION UC4.5 ENHANCED STABILITY OPTION Do not use high speed power tools/drills when installing hardware. The use of dielectric grease is not recommended on any NORAC electrical connections. To ensure all stainless steel hardware does not gall or seize apply a light coating of the supplied Permatex Anti-seize grease to all threaded parts upon installation.

    3 Roll Sensor Installation 1. Determine the location where the Reference Frame roll sensor will be mounted. It must be mounted on the sprayer chassis on a non-moving part. 2. Securely mount the roll sensor to the included roll sensor bracket using the #6 machine screws.
  • Page 7 The system will not function properly unless the cable on the roll sensor is facing the right hand wing. The roll sensors must be installed in the following order:  The lowest serial number on the boom frame.  The intermediate frame roll sensor must be the roll sensor with a temperature probe.

    4 Electrical Installation 1. Disconnect P6 on C11 from the 8-way coupler (E11) and connect to the 3-way coupler (E10). 2. Connect cables C07 and C08 to the remaining connectors on the 3-way coupler (E10). 3. Connect the free end of C07 to the 8-way coupler. 4.

    2. If any functions do not work, review this manual to check for proper installation. 3. Turn on the power for the control panel using the switch on the side of the chassis. 4. Refer to the UC4.5 Spray Height Control Operator’s Manual to run an automatic install.
