  • Page 9 PART I: GENERAL AND USER INFORMATION General Instructions This User Manual contains general safety, operating, maintenance, and care instructions for the TheraBite Jaw Motion Rehabilitation ® System . Both clinicians and users should carefully review this User ™ Manual before prescribing or using the TheraBite system. Users who have any questions about the safety, operation, maintenance, care, or other use of the TheraBite system after reviewing the User Manual should consult with their clinician.

To help you maintain your rehabilitation program, whether at work, while traveling, or at play, a Carrying Bag is included with the TheraBite system. The Carrying Bag is designed to keep all the components and accessories of the TheraBite system together.

  • Page 19 TEIL I: ALLGEMEINE ANWEISUNGEN Allgemeine Anweisungen und Anwender- Hinweise Diese Gebrauchsanweisung enthält allgemeine Sicherheits-, Nutzungs-, Wartungs- und Pflegehinweise für das TheraBite ® Motion Rehabilitation System . Sowohl Ärzte als auch Anwender ™ sollten diese Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig lesen, bevor das TheraBite System verschrieben oder benutzt wird. Anwender, die nach der Lektüre der Gebrauchsanweisung noch Fragen zu Sicherheit, Benutzung, Wartung oder Pflege des TheraBite Systems haben, sollten ihren behandelnden Arzt konsultieren.

  • Page 24 Reinigung und Pflege Reinigen Sie das TheraBite System mit Wasser und Seife/ Reinigungsmittel. Spülen Sie Seife sorgfältig ab, entfernen Sie überschüssiges Wasser und lassen Sie den Kiefertrainer trocknen. Die Messhilfe für die maximale Öffnung ist ein Einwegprodukt, das nicht gereinigt werden sollte. Untersuchen Sie die Bisspolster des oberen und unteren Mundstücks nach dem Reinigen und ersetzen Sie diese bei Bedarf.

  • Page 26 Rehabilitationsprogramm zur Verbesserung der Koordination Umschulung Durch die anatomisch korrekte Bewegung des Kiefertrainers trainieren Sie die natürliche Bewegung Ihres Kiefers. • Nehmen Sie die Mundstücke zwischen die Zähne und beißen Sie sehr vorsichtig zu. • Öffnen Sie Ihren Mund und drücken Sie nur so stark auf den Hebel, dass Ihre Zähne die Bisspolster gerade noch berühren.
  • Page 27 Die Oberfläche des Jaw Mobilizer (Kiefertrainers) und der Mundstücke verfärbt sich. Mögliche Ursache 1: Die Verfärbungen sind auf eisenhaltiges Trinkwasser zurückzuführen. Mögliche Ursache 2: Verfärbungen treten auch auf, wenn der Kiefertrainer direktem Sonnenlicht, hoher Feuchtigkeit oder extremen Temperaturen ausgesetzt wird. In den meisten Fällen führen die Verfärbungen nicht zu einer Beeinträchtigung der Funktionen des Produkts.

  • Page 37 Revalidatieprogramma voor de ontwikkeling van coördinatie Opnieuw aanleren De anatomisch correcte beweging van de mobilisator helpt u om uw kaak te trainen bij een natuurlijke beweging. • Plaats de mondstukken in uw mond en bijt zachtjes. • Open uw mond terwijl u zachtjes in de hendel knijpt – net zo hard dat uw tanden licht op de gebitsbescherming blijven rusten. • Open uw mond zo wijd als u zonder ongemak kunt doen, laat de hendel langzaam los en sluit uw kaken, waarbij uw tanden contact blijven maken met de gebitsbescherming.
  • Page 38 Verkleuring op het oppervlak en het mondstuk van de Jaw Mobilizer (mobilisator) Mogelijke oorzaak 1: Verkleuring kan het gevolg zijn van ijzer in het kraanwater. Mogelijke oorzaak 2: Verkleuring kan ook optreden wanneer de mobilisator wordt blootgesteld aan zonlicht, overmatig vocht of extreem hoge of lage temperaturen. In de meeste gevallen is deze verkleuring zuiver kosmetisch en zal het systeem onverminderd goed werken.
