Third-Party Connections

General Information
Buzz detects newly connected video signals. All connected video input and output sources are
shown in the Content Manager software. If a source does not appear, press the Refresh button
in Content Manager. For more information see the Origin Data Management Software User
Guide.
Despite certain video signal types being generally supported, it is possible that some devices are
not compatible with Buzz. If you are unsure of a device's compatibility, contact Brainlab support.
An external (optional) 3D display must support 3D line-by-line technology to display 3D content
correctly.
LAN Connection
Connecting Buzz to the hospital network offers:
• The transfer of patient data from or to the system.
• Remote access of information displayed on the display.
• The possibility to stream, record and share a session depending on the Brainlab application
running on the device and the integration into the Hospital network.
Only connect IEC compliant devices to the LAN ports.
Wireless LAN Connections
Buzz is compliant with the following:
• CE
• FCC
• IC
The WLAN module included in this product cannot be accessed by the end users. The FCC ID
and IC ID of the WLAN module can be found on the label. Please contact Brainlab support in case
of any related questions.
The wireless device connected to Buzz must comply with the standard IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n.
NOTE: Wireless features may be disabled in accordance with local restrictions or pending
approval. Contact Brainlab support for more information.
NOTE: If there is a bad, or no, wireless connection, use a cable connection (LAN cable).
NOTE: The antenna of the WLAN module is behind the Feature Panel glass close to the speaker.
A distance of 20 cm should be maintained between the WLAN antenna and the user.
