OR Setup
General Information
When planning the OR setup, consider the position of system components so that the airflow is
not directed into the patient area.
Warning
Use of this equipment adjacent to or stacked with other equipment should be avoided
because it could result in improper operation. If such use is necessary, this equipment and
the other equipment should be observed to verify that they are operating normally.
Sterile Field
Warning
Buzz is unsterile. Do not position any Buzz components inside or above the patient
environment or sterile field. Ensure that the system is set up so that components can not
come in contact with or be touched by the patient.
User Position
Buzz users are expected to stand in front of the touch display within easy reaching distance, in
order to use their fingers to control the device.
When looking at the touch display, be aware that colors may be displayed incorrectly if viewed
from an inadequate angle.
Space for Servicing the System
The Buzz touch display can be flipped down 90° when Brainlab services the system. Ensure that
there is sufficient space in front of and below the system and no permanent objects are installed
there.
Electromagnetic Compatibility and Interferences
Special precautions regarding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) must be installed and put into
service according to the EMC information for Buzz provided in this guide.
The influence of electromagnetic disturbances might lower performance characteristics of the
device such as:
• No or limited function of touch screen
• Ghost touch events
• Loss of connection to wireless network (if applicable)
Warning
Buzz produces an electromagnetic field that may interfere with other sensitive equipment
and Buzz itself may be disrupted by other electromagnetic fields.
MR Safety
Warning
Buzz has not been tested in an MR environment.
