Basic Windows 95 Troubleshooting

Many Windows 95 problems can be solved by simply uninstalling and reinstalling the
WaveRunner software. If that does not resolve your problem, identify your problem
below and try the possible solution.
Problem
Windows 95 does not recognize the card

WaveRunner Problem Resolution

This section describes some of the common errors that occur with the
WaveRunner ISDN/Analog Modem. The errors in this section are usually the
result of a configuration or setup discrepancy, and can usually be corrected by
changing a configuration parameter or changing the connection of the
ISDN/Analog Modem or an NT1.

Modem Errors

Windows error message that the selected COM port is either not
supported or is being used by another device.
Description: The ISDN/Analog Modem is configured as a different COM
port that the application or another application is using the ISDN/Analog
Modem.
User Response: Check to ensure that the ISDN/Analog Modem's COM
port configuration value and the application's COM port configuration
value match. If not, reconfigure either the application or the ISDN/Analog
Modem. If another application is using the ISDN/Analog Modem close the
other application.
If the ISDN/Analog was installed after Windows was started, exit and then
restart Windows to have the ISDN/Analog Modem recognized.
Possible Solution
Go to Device Manager in Control Panels
and see if there are device drive errors or
conflicts.
Go to Device Manager to see if there are
any IRQ conflicts.
