Description: Occurs if an adapter has been added or removed from your
personal computer system without reconfiguring the system.
User Response: Restart your system using the Reference Diskette and run
the automatic configuration.
Mouse no longer works
Description: Occurs when a bus mouse controller adapter that decodes
only the low-order 10 bits of the I/O address bus is installed. The bus
mouse controller adapter recognizes and responds to addresses in the
range of X'230'-X'23F', which conflicts with the WaveRunner Adapter
adapter's address.
User Response: Either select a new address for your mouse controller
adapter or remove it, so that it does not interfere with the WaveRunner
Adapter operations.
Windows stops during initialization
Description: Occurs when the DMA channel number is incorrect.
User Response: Verify that the DMA= setting in your SYSTEM.INI file
matches the DMA channel for which the WaveRunner Adapter is
configured. Check this setting by viewing the SYSTEM.INI file. Look
under the [Mwave] section to see how the DMA= entry is set. (The
SYSTEM.INI file can be found in the Windows directory, usually
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM.INI or change the setting in the SYSTEM.INI file
to match the WaveRunner Adapter configuration. Restart Windows.)
Windows error message that the SPID is rejected by the network
Description: Occurs only for National ISDN-1 (NI-1) compliant network
switches or pre NI-1 Northern Telecom switches. It indicates that there is
an error in the WaveRunner Adapter ISDN configuration.
User Response: Go to the WaveRunner Adapter ISDN configuration (from
