Speaker Kit
Before removing the speaker, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly
2. Remove the following components:
a. Bottom cover (see
b. Battery (see
c. Optical drive (see
d. Hard drive (see
e. Solid-state drive or Optane memory module (see
f. WWAN module and bracket (see
g. Keyboard (see
h. Internal frame (see
i. Serial port board or VGA port board (see
j. System board (see
Remove the speaker:
1. Remove the Phillips M2.5 × 3.0 screw (1) that secures the speakers to the computer.
2. Lift the speaker assembly up enough to access the antenna cables connected to it (2), and then remove
the antenna cables from the clips on the speaker assembly (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the speaker.
