Before removing the NFC module, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly
2. Remove the following components:
a. Bottom cover (see

c. Optical drive (see

e. Solid-state drive or Optane memory module (see
f. WWAN module and bracket (see
g. Keyboard (see
h. Internal frame (see
Remove the NFC module:
1. Disconnect the system board cable from the NFC module ZIF connector (1).
2. Disconnect the NFC antenna cable (that connects to the touchpad) from the NFC module reverse ZIF
connector (2).
