Adjusting the gear-change pedal position (fig. 26)
The position of the gear change pedal relative to the
footpeg can be adjusted to suit the preferences of the
individual rider.
There are three different types of adjustment:

Approximate adjustment of pedal position

Fit a wrench into the socket (1) to lock the removable
return link, and loosen counter nut (3). Loosen and remove
the screw (2) and adjust the link axially in order to set
the gear change pedal in the desired position. The link
has four positions relative to the axis of the screw (2).

After adjustment, tighten screw (2) to 8 Nm and counter
nut (3) to 10 Nm.

Fine adjustment
Fit a wrench into the socket (1) to lock the removable return
link, and loosen counter nut (3). Adjust the pedal position by
acting on socket (1) to turn the link. When finished, tighten
counter nut (3) to 10 Nm.
Combined adjustment
The two above adjustments can be made at the same
time, taking care to tighten counter nut (3) to 10 Nm and
screw (2) to 8 Nm.
