Safety Precautions (continued)
NOTE
About consumables.
Lamp, polarizers and other optical components, and air filter and cooling fans have a
different lifetime in each. These parts may need to be replaced after a long usage time.
• This product is not designed for continuous use over a long period of time. In case of
continuous use of 6 hours or more, or repetitive use of a few hours may shorten the lifetime
of the optical components and other parts. And these parts may need to be replaced even
if one year has not passed since the beginning of using.
• Any inclining use beyond the adjustment range explained in these user's manuals may
shorten the lifetimes of the consumable parts.
Before turning on the power, allow the projector to cool adequately.
Do not turn the projector on for about 20 minutes or more after turning it off.
Also, do not turn the projector off shortly after turning it on. Powering on/off the projector
while it is still hot could cause a damage to the electrode and the lamp not to light.
Avoid strong rays.
Any strong ray (such as direct rays of the sun or room lighting) onto the remote control
sensors could invalidate the remote control.

DLP
chip(s)
• DLP chip(s) is/are precision-made parts. In rare cases, pixels may be missing or lit, but
this is not a malfunction.
• Direct high-power laser beam onto the lens surface can damage the DLP chip(s).
Avoid radio interference.
Any interfering radiation could cause disordered image or noises.
• Do not put radio generators such as a mobile telephone, transceiver, and so on around
the projector.
Turn the power on/off in the right order when connected to other devices.
To prevent any trouble of the devices such as computers and video players that are
connected to the projector, turn on/off the projector in the right order mentioned below
unless otherwise specified.
• Power on the projector before the computer or other peripheral equipments.
• Power off the projector after the computer or other peripheral equipments.
Avoid eye tiredness.
Rest your eyes occasionally.
