Chapter 3 — Connect the Printer
About Printer Drivers
Before you can use the printer with Microsoft Windows printing
applications, you need to install printer driver software on the PC. Drivers
enable the printer to communicate with your PC and with software
applications, such as Honeywell PrintSet 5.
Note: Although Windows may auto-detect the printer when you connect
it to a PC through a USB port, you still need to install printer drivers on
the PC for the printer to operate correctly.
Install Printer Drivers
Use InterDriver to install printer driver software on your PC.
1 Open a web browser and go to www.honeywellaidc.com.
2 Select Products > Printers and Media > PM42.
3 Click the Software tab.
4 In the Drivers list, click the link to install the latest version of

InterDriver.
The installer unpacks and installs the InterDriver files in the
Honeywell\InterDriver folder in your program files directory and
creates two shortcuts in the Windows Start menu:

Honeywell > InterDriver > InterDriver Wizard
•
Honeywell > InterDriver > Check for Updates
