3.1 Overview

This chapter describes the responses to errors that are detected by the self-
diagnosis function and check points for each trouble symptom which are necessary
so that troubleshooting can be carried out efficiently when a problem occurs.

3.1.1 Self-Diagnostic Function

This scanner is equipped with a self-diagnosis function that automatically
checks the operation of the various scanner components. The problem that are
detected by this function and the way they are handled them are given below.
