Installation and Height Adjustment

Warnings:
- DO NOT install, remove, or adjust the height of the product while the
individual is seated in the wheelchair.
- After you install the product, and before the individual transfers into the
wheelchair, make sure that all hardware is securely tightened. Refer to
the recommended torque specifications.
Note: The AGILITY CARBON can be used in a flipped position. Refer to "Flip the
Back Shell" instructions in this manual.
Installation Option A
Use this option if your wheelchair canes do not have push handles or other equipment that may interfere with installation.
1. Before installing the product make sure the hardware
is correct for the wheelchair and back shell. See
"Hardware Selection".
2. Loosen, but do not remove, the cane clamp screw.
Repeat for the other side.
Note: If the outer cane clamp becomes detached,
see Installation Option B, step 5.
3. Slide the cane clamps onto the canes to the desired
height.
Note: If the product does not fit properly on the
wheelchair, repeat "Hardware Selection".
4. Tighten the cane clamp screws until snug + one-
quarter turn.
Note: If a torque wrench is available, tighten to no
more than 40 inch-pounds (4.5 Newton-meters).
5. Use a tape measure to make sure the cane clamps
are at the same height.
6. If needed, adjust the height and re-tighten the
hardware (see the previous steps).
Have the individual safely transfer into the
wheelchair.
PSIS Warning: Make sure that the product is
positioned so that the bottom portion makes
contact with the Posterior Superior Iliac Spine
(PSIS). If the product is NOT positioned to make
contact with the PSIS, pelvic support and trunk
control may be reduced.

Follow the instructions for Installation Option A or Installation
Option B, depending on your wheelchair cane type.
