3.3 Intended use

The product is designed to extract welding fumes from electric welding at their
source and filter them out. The product can generally be used for all work processes
in which welding fumes are released. It is, however, important to ensure that no
sparks are sucked into the product e.g. from a grinding process.
You will find the dimensions and further product details which must be observed in
the technical data.

NOTICE
In Germany, only units which have been tested and approved according to
official regulations may be operated in the so-called air circulation process
when extracting welding fumes containing carcinogenic particles, created
during the welding of alloy steels (e.g. stainless steel). This product is
approved for the extraction of welding fumes generated during the welding
of low and high-alloy steels and meets the requirements for the welding
fumes separation class W3, according to DIN EN ISO 15012-1.
The requirements of TRGS 560 (Technical Rules for Hazardous Substances)
and TRGS 528 (Welding Works) must be complied with when extracting
welding fumes containing carcinogenic components (e.g., chromates, nickel
oxides, etc.) .
