XAV-7W – Motor / Power ON Circuitry
Power ON
Refer to Figure 3-9. When the car key is turned to Acc position, the XAV-7W's power supply is turned On and the
unit powers up to the mode when the car was turned Off (unless the Battery cable at pin 16 was disconnected).
IC703 turns On the power supply when it detects the Acc input at pin 81 and outputs a DDC-ON at pin 57.

Motor Drive
The large 7" LCD display panel sits under the electronics and when the Close / Open button is pressed, the
panel rolls out and angles up to a viewable position. The simplified motor drive circuit in Figure 3-9 shows the
motor movement is controlled by IC703 with feedback from three switches (S790 – S792 shown in access
Figure 3-7). Switches SW790 and SW792 limit the entire monitor open-close range while SW791 and SW792
limit the angle – to angle + view range while the monitor is open.
Pressing the front panel SW108 activates the motor. Zero volts at either CN15/pins 9 (fwd) or 10 (rev) starts
the motor. Switches S790 and S791 feed back to IC703 to stop the motor at the ends (open / close).
