WARNING! The silicon sleeve is not sterile! To avoid cross-
contamination sterilize the silicon sleeve before use [→ 17].
NOTE! Silicon sleeves are for single use only. Change the silicon
sleeve after each patient.
Fitting a silicon sleeve
ü You have sterilized the silicon sleeve.
ü The motor is at a standstill.
ü A file is not clamped in place.
1. Pull the silicon sleeve fully over the instrument by gently turning it
from one side to the other.
2. Insert the file [→ 10].
3. Attach the contra-angle handpiece to the motor.
Removing a silicon sleeve
ü The motor is at a standstill.
1. Pull the contra-angle handpiece off of the motor.
2. Remove the file.
3. Remove the silicon sleeve.
4. Dispose of the silicon sleeve [→ 20].
