Overview

Functions implemented:
● Temperature monitoring and over/under-temperature display
● Watchdog
● Fan monitoring
Messages of the monitoring modules can be transferred to applications.
The SOM software (Safecard On Motherboard) and DiagMonitor software on CD (optional)
can be used to handle this functionality.
The DiagMonitor software CD contains the monitoring software, the software for the stations
to be monitored, and a library for creating user-specific applications.
The descriptions of drivers and of the SOM program are available on the CD "Documentation

9.2

Temperature monitoring

Temperature monitoring
The temperature is recorded by means of three thermocouples. One thermocouple monitors
the processor temperature, another the temperature in the area near the power supply, and
a third the air intake temperature next to the DVI port.
The following fault reactions are triggered if one of the temperature values exceeds the set
temperature threshold:
Response
Device and CPU fans accelerate to maximum
speed.
SOM or DiagMonitor software is activated
The temperature error is retained in memory until temperatures have fallen below the
thresholds and are reset by one of the following measures:
● Error acknowledgement in the SOM program (manually by means of the broom icon)
● Restart of the device
