5.4 Dismantling the breaking unit

Plan the dismantling work so that it can be carried out quickly and without long
delays to prevent moisture in the air coming into lengthy contact with the dust in the
breaking unit and on the inside and outside of the breaking chamber insulator.
N. B.
Use personal safety equipment such as overalls, protective gloves and face
mask.
Take care of the decomposition products in the breaking unit, in the form of powder,
as the breaking unit is successively opened. First use a vacuum cleaner and
thereafter carefully wipe the dismantled components.

Remove the bolts (1) and the cover (2) and lift
out the absorption agent container (3).
N. B.
Place the bag with absorption agent in a
container for chemical waste.
2.
Remove the bolts (4) and upper flange (5) with
the upper current path (6).
3.
Remove the bolts (4) and the breaking chamber
insulator (7) from the lower flange (8).
4.
Rinse the inside of the breaking chamber
insulator with water.
