About This Guide
Document Purpose and Intended Audience
This guide contains information needed to set up, configure, and operate HotWire
Model 7924-A1 T1 HDSL termination units.
It is expected that readers of this document are central office and/or special
service installation technicians or network engineers who have an understanding
of digital subscriber line systems and High-bit-rate Digital Subscriber Loop
(HDSL) transmission systems plus the deployment of such systems in a
telephone company or private network environment.

for modifying configuration options by using the terminal
interface or DIP switches and jumpers on the board.

Customizing V.35-Compatible Units . Provides procedures
for modifying configuration options by using the terminal
interface or DIP switches and jumpers on the board.
Chapter 6
Monitoring the Unit. Describes how to monitor unit status,
LEDs, and network statistics. Also describes how to monitor
the status of the unit on the opposite side of the HDSL
connection.
