    Introduction This manual details the communication structure and commands used to send programming parameters to the ICR803. To get started please refer to the manual named “ICR803 QUICK START GUIDE”. Serial Programming The serial programming commands may be used in place of the programming bar codes.

    Query Commands Several special characters can be used to query the device about its settings. What is the default value for the setting(s). What is the devices current value for the setting(s). What is the range of possible values for the setting(s). The devices response uses a dash (-_ to indicate a continuous range of values.

    When responding, the device echoes back the command sequence with the status character inserted directly before each of the punctuation marks (the period, exclamation point, comma, or semicolon) in the command.
