Burton Metal Sign (Bear)
Hardware (included): TWO Screws and TWO Anchors
Tools (required):
This sign is triangular and includes two D-rings on the back surface near the top edge for wall mounting.
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS:
1)
With the back of the sign facing away from the wall, hold the sign at a desired location on a wall.
Use a level along the top edge of the sign to ensure that it is level and then use a pencil to mark
the wall immediately above both D-rings. Set the sign aside. The two marks on the wall are the
insertion points for the mounting hardware.
2)
The provided anchors cannot penetrate wood so we have to determine if either mark happens to
align with a wall-stud (vertical wood members located in the wall). Use a stud-finder to determine
this. If either mark does align, do not install a provided anchor at this mark. Use a screwdriver to
install a provided screw directly into the wall. Rotate the screw clockwise until the screw head is
about 3/8 inch from the wall.
3)
For marks that do not align with a stud, first install an anchor. To do this, engage a screwdriver
with an anchor and position the tip of the anchor at one of these marks. Firmly push the anchor
into the wall as you rotate it clockwise. The anchor will drive itself into the wall like a large screw.
Continue rotating until the wide part of the anchor becomes even with the wall.
4)
Use a screwdriver to install a provided screw into the installed anchor. Rotate the screw clockwise
until the screw head is about 3/8 inch from the wall.
5)
With the help of another person, return the sign to the wall and engage the two D-rings with the
protruding screws.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Dust with soft, dry cloth. Do not use strong solvent or abrasive-based cleaners.
