Wall-mount Cleat
1PCS
Tools required for mounting (not included): Phillips screwdriver, Level, Pencil, Tape measure
This item uses a French cleat system for hanging to a wall at a desired mounting location. The cleat system
employs two separate cleats, a wall mount cleat which is mounted to the wall using the provided hardware,
and a product-mounted cleat which is already mounted to the back of the shelf. The wall-mounted cleat
should come pre-attached to the product mounted cleat using tape. Keep the cleats secured to each other at
this time.
Mounting Instructions:
1. With the help of one or two other people, hold the shelf against the wall and at a desired mounting
location. Use a level to ensure that the product is level and then use a pencil to gently mark the wall
along the top edge of the shelf. Set the shelf aside.
2. As mentioned above, the cleat should be taped to the back of the shelf. If it has separated, use tape to
re-secure it with its sharp edge nested up into the recess located on the back of the shelf.
3. Using a tape measure, measure the distance from the top edge of the shelf to the bottom edge of the
attached wall-mounted cleat. This will be "measurement (A)". Use the pencil and the tape measure to
make a lower line below the line you drew in Step (1). The lower line will be spaced a distance equal to
"measurement (A)".
4. Separate the wall-mounted cleat from the shelf and position its bottom edge (opposite the sharp edge)
along the lower line. The sharp edge should be facing up and should be away from the wall surface.
With the help of another person, hold the cleat against the wall along the lower line and use a pencil or a
thin sharp object (such as one of the provided screws) to mark the wall through each of the three holes
located in the cleat. These three marks will be the insertion points for the hardware.
5. Use a Phillips screwdriver to engage a provided toggle and position the sharp tip of the toggle against the
wall at one of the three marks (insertion points). Firmly push the toggle into the wall as you rotate it
clockwise. The toggle is designed to drive itself into the wall as it is rotated. Continue rotating the toggle
