Burner Injectors (Procedure 11)
1. Remove burner by performing steps 1 ~ 12 of procedure 10.
2. Using a 7 mm spanner, remove burner injectors and copper washers.
3. Reassemble in reverse order of above ensuring o'rings are clean, free from cracks and
lubricated with silicone grease if dry. Note: When reconnecting ignition module leads,
ensure top ignition module lead connects to ignition rod and bottom ignition module
lead connects to flame rod.
4. Start heater and check for gas leaks using a soapy water solution.
5. Purge air from premises hot taps and check for water leaks.
Burner Manifold (Procedure 12)
1. Remove burner by performing steps 1 ~ 12 of procedure 10.
2. Using a shifting spanner, unscrew large hex head nut retaining burner manifold to gas
valve.
3. Remove four Phillips head screws retaining burner manifold to heater rear panel and
remove burner manifold and silicon gasket between burner manifold / gas valve
connection.
4. Reassemble in reverse order of above ensuring o'rings are clean, free from cracks and
lubricated with silicone grease if dry. Notes: When reconnecting ignition module leads,
ensure top ignition module lead connects to ignition rod and bottom ignition module
lead connects to flame rod. Take care not to cross thread large hex head nut at the
burner manifold to gas valve connection.
5. Start heater and check for gas leaks using a soapy water solution.
6. Purge air from premises hot taps and check for water leaks.
Gas Valve Assembly (Procedure 13)
1. Remove pilot assembly by performing steps 1 ~ 9 of procedure 5 and place pilot
assembly in a safe location.
2. Unplug wiring plugs from temperature controller, remove two Phillips head screws
retaining temperature controller mounting bracket and place temperature controller
with bracket in a safe location.
3. Disconnect wiring loom plug to gas valve SV3 / MASV and disconnect remaining wires
from gas valve (orange wire from orange connection, green wire from green
connection and black ground wire from gas valve body).
4. Remove two Phillips head screws retaining heat shield to rear of heater, unplug wiring
plug from igniter and remove heat shield complete with igniter to a safe location.
5. Loosen but do not remove the four Phillips head screws retaining burner manifold to
rear of heater (these screws are located on each side of burner behind burner
mounting screws). This will permit the burner manifold to be pushed up slightly when
removing / reinstalling gas valve.
6. Remove two Phillips head screws retaining gas valve to rear of heater.
7. Using a shifting spanner, unscrew large hex head nut retaining burner manifold to gas
valve.
