Ensure framing dimensions are maintained during construction.     VENT CONNECTION Fig. # 11 It is preferred to attach venting before framing begins. Once the fireplace is in position proceed to attach the venting. (see Fig # 10) The flexible vent pipe may be stretched to accommodate various lengths of venting. Stretch and/or cut to length as required. The 4 inch flexible inner pipe must be centred inside the 8 inch pipe with pipe spacers provided.

    VENT EXTENSION Fig. # 13 Vent Pipe Kits may be combined together for longer vent length. PIPE SUPPORT Extend the flex pipes as shown in figure # 13. Use the 4 and 8 inch couplers supplied with the vent kit. Insert coupler into the appropriate flex pipe and secure in place with screws provided.

    ROOF VENT TERMINAL INSTALLATION Fig. # 17 Firestops must be used where a vent passes through a floor. Where a vent passes through a ceiling, a wall/roof thimble must be used to retain insulation and maintain a 1 inch clearance. Avoid cutting rafters.

Before installing the Dura-Vent system, the installer should read the instructions that accompany this appliance to insure proper installa- tion requirements are maintained.

    BURNER INSTALLATION Fig. # 23 The glass frame and window trim overlay must be removed to install the burner into the firebox. The glass frame is held in place by two over-center latches located under the firebox. Fold down the front bottom louver, if installed, to access the screw retaining the window trim overlay.
