4. Operation & Filter Maintenance
4.01

Starting the Hood

Be sure that all filters are in place and both filter Access Doors are closed and latched securely before attempting to
operate the unit. NOTE: The hood will NOT power-up if either filter door is open, or ajar.
To Start the Hood:
1. Press and momentarily hold the top [START] portion of the
Power Switch ① until the hood blowers start running.
Release and switch will spring back to remain ON.
2 The green HOOD POWER light ② and both small EAC
[ON] lights ③ should turn ON. A constant tone alarm
may sound briefly and stop as the fan reaches full speed.
3. At that time, the amber APPLIANCE POWERED light ④
should turn ON to indicate that power is now being
supplied to the fryer and it is ready for use.
4. Place Light Switch ⑤ in [ON] position to turn on under-
hood lighting
Should this sequence not occur or should any other lights turn ON, see the Section 6, Troubleshooting for
possible cause and corrective action.
To Shutdown the Hood:
1. Press the bottom [OFF] portion of the Power Switch ①.
2 Blower stops and all indicator lights turn OFF.
3. Power to the fryer is shutdown.
