3.6 Miscellaneous Connectors

The VC5509A EVM PLUS has 3 additional connectors to aid the user in developing
with this product. They are described in the following sections.
3.6.1 J201, Mini USB Connector
Connector J201 provides a Universal Serial Bus (USB) Interface to the embedded
JTAG emulation logic on the DSK. This allows for code development and debug
without the use of an external emulator. The signals on this connector are shown in the
below.
3.6.2 J7, External JTAG Connector
The TMS320VC5509A EVM PLUS is supplied with a 14 pin header interface, J7. This
is the standard interface used by JTAG emulators to interface to Texas Instruments
DSPs. The pinout for the connector is shown figure 3-6 below.
