5.23 Drawing the water out of the
fuel tank

When working on the fuel system do not use
open fire, do not smoke, fire hazard! Do not
spill any fuel. Fire hazard!

Open the quick lock on the tank (Fig. 73).

Fit an approx. 350 mm long PE-hose to a con-

ventional injection syringe (>20 ml).
Insert the hose down to the bottom of the tank
l
and draw off the water/fuel mixture.
Repeat this procedure until only fuel is visible.

Environment
Catch the fuel/water mixture and dispose of
environmentally.
