Removing VT100 Logo and Installing VT180 Logo
INSTALL TOP COVER
Place the top cover on the chassis and fasten it to the bottom cover with four pop fasteners. Press
up on the fasteners until they click.
INSTALL TERMINAL CONTROLLER MODULE
Install the terminal controller module in its original slot in the left side of the card cage. Use care
when sliding the ribbon cable past the edge of the
RF
shield so it will not pull the cable's connector
out of its socket.

INSTALL THE VT18X CONTROL MODULE
Use the following procedure.
1. Check the communications switches on the VT 18X control module (Figure 2-16) for the cor-
rect positions listed in Table 2-1. The switches allow you to set the VT180 to run on most full-
and half-duplex communications modems with application software. Switches 2 and 6 must
be "on" for the communications port to function. The other switches may be enabled for the
type of modem you are using. Table 2-1 shows the common configuration and the function
enabled by each switch.
NOTE:
When installing the VT18X control module, check ROM a (location E14) for the latest
revision. Remove ROM part number 23-0 16E3 and install part number 23-o21E3. This change
affects the
