12. Malfunctions
Direct intervention by the customer
In order to avoid unnecessary costs, ensure that the problem occurring in the machine is not included in the following table before calling the
servicing department.
DEFECT
The coffee machine does not function and
the indicator light (45) is off.
The coffee machine does not work but the
indicator light (45) is on.
The coffee machine does not heat up.
Leak from edge of filter-holder (49, 43).
Coffee flow time too short.
Water leaks from under the machine.
The coffee is warm and weak (after nor-
mal time of brew and flow).
The reading on the pressure gauge (20) of
the pump pressure is greater than 9 bars.
CAUSE
No electricity.
Wrong programming of the switch-on times.
Wrong position of the main switch (12).
The undercup gasket is dirty with coffee
residue.
Coffee grinds too coarse.
Coffee too old.
Drainage tank clogged.
Air bubble in thermosyphonic circulation
system.
The pump’s by-pass valve is blocked.
REMEDY
Check that the electricity is on.
Check the position of the main switch (12).
Press the display button (35) for a few sec-
onds to force switch-on.
Reprogram the clock (Paragraphs 3 and 4).
Turn the main switch knob (12) to position
2.
Clean with the supplied brush.
Grind the coffee more finely.
Change the coffee
Clean the tank.
Press the coffee distribution button 2/3
times to try and eliminate the air bubble.
Call the authorized servicing department.
