Sending a Distress Alert call

It is an offence to send a Distress Alert call if vessel or crew are not in danger.
The distress button is located under the protective cover on the front of the handset.
Access the Distress Alert call function.
Scroll up/down to select a category.
Press and hold the DISTRESS key to begin the 5-second count-
down - the large digits will count down from 5 to 1 before initiating
the Distress Alert, then the display will change to show "SENDING
ALERT".
The Distress Alert call can be aborted, if the DISTRESS key is released at
any time before the 5-second countdown has ended.
Return to normal radio operation.

Undefi ned (default)
Abandoning
Piracy
MOB
Fire
Flooding
Collision
Grounding
Listing
Sinking
Adrift
