Operating the menu system

Menu mode is used to adjust the various settings of the radio,such as channels
inhibited from scan functions, MMSI numberprogramming and User channel selec-
tion.

Enter Menu mode
Menu options
Scanning – Options related to the various scanning functions such as channel
inhibit, memory scan select and scan dwell time.
Numbers – Entering of ID numbers such as MMSI, Group MMSI and ATIS num-
bers (if applicable in country of use).
VHF Items – Miscellaneous options such as selection of User channel, last used
channel, interrupt inter-com, speaker settings and SimNet management.
Entering Menu mode will inhibit the operation of the radio. Exit Menu mode before
returning the handset to the cradle to permit normal operation.
Press and hold
Turn unit on/off.
Increase volume.
Decrease volume.
Increase squelch.
Decrease squelch.
Scroll up/down
Single press
Cancel the current operation.
Return to main menu
From 1 to 24 (loud).
From 0 (open) to 10.
Automatic time out after 2
seconds, unless another
key is pressed.
Select option
Exit
