How to do I tell if my Powerline Adapters are
working correctly?
• When working normally, one of your Powerline
Adapters should be displaying the orange
AP Light, green Status Light and green
Ethernet Light.
• The other Powerline Adapter should have both
the green Status Lights and the green Ethernet
Light on.
• When the equipment is successfully attached the
Ethernet Light should be lit up, and when you're
using the connection it will flash. You may notice
that the Status Light on your Powerline Adapter
light changes to red or orange on one or both
powerline devices. This isn't something to worry
about as long as you aren't having any problems
with your BT Vision service.
I have no lights on my Powerline Adapter, what
should I do?
• If you have plugged the Adapter into a mains
power socket but no lights are showing please
ensure that the power is switched on at the mains.
• If you have done this and no lights appear on the
device check the socket you are plugging it into
with another device in your house such as a table
lamp etc. If this device works but your Powerline

Adapter still shows no lights then it is faulty.

Both my Powerline Adapters show orange
AP Lights. Is this correct?
• No. Only one AP Light of the pair should be
orange. If both are orange, this is because both
your Powerline Adapters are set up as Access
Points. You will need to carry out the following to
rectify this issue:
Step 1
• Ensure that both Powerline Adapters are in close
proximity for this procedure as you may find you
have to move them into an extension strip or
double wall socket. Once reconfigured they can
be repositioned in their original location.
• Press and keep holding the [CONFIG/F RESET]
button on one of the Powerline Adapters. The
orange AP Light will start to flash. Keep holding
the [CONFIG/F RESET] button until the AP Light
goes out and then release it.
• This process should take about 10 seconds.
