this guide

EMC uses the following conventions for notes, cautions, warnings,
and danger notices.
Note: A note presents information that is important, but not hazard-related.
CAUTION
A caution contains information essential to avoid data loss or
damage to the system or equipment. The caution may apply to
hardware or software.
WARNING
A warning contains information essential to avoid a hazard that can
cause severe personal injury, death, or substantial property damage
if you ignore the warning.
Typographical Conventions
Note: For readability, command names in the narrative portions of this guide
are presented in mixed letter casing: for example, switchShow. In actual
examples, command letter casing is often all lowercase.
EMC uses the following type style conventions in this guide:
A G Keystrokes
VANT ARDE
Palatino, Dialog box, button, icon, and menu items in text
bold Selections you can make from the user interface,
including buttons, icons, options, and field
names
Palatino, New terms or unique word usage in text
italic Command line arguments when used in text
Book titles
Arguments used in examples of command line
Courier,
italic syntax.
