    The Provox Brush / Provox Brush XL is used by the patient to clean the inside of the prosthesis (Fig. 3). The Provox Flush is an additional cleaning device that allows flushing of the prosthesis (Fig. 4). The Provox Vega Plug is a First Aid tool for patient’s use that temporarily blocks leakage through the prosthesis (Fig. 5).

Additional information 5.1 Compatibility with MRI, X-ray and radiation therapy The Provox Vega voice prosthesis can be left in the TE-puncture during the MRI, X-ray and radiation examination/therapy session. The Provox Vega voice prosthesis is compatible with Magnetic Resonance Imaging up to 3.0 Tesla, X-ray and radiation therapy up to 70 Gy. Note that the radio-opaque valve seat is visible on x-ray. 5.2 Device lifetime Depending on individual biological circumstances the device life varies, and it is not possible to predict the integrity of the device over a longer period of time.

  • Page 11 3.3 Zubehör Die Provox Brush/Provox Brush XL wird zur Reinigung der Innenseite der Stimmprothese durch den Patienten verwendet (Abbildung 3). Die Provox Flush ist ein zusätzliches Reinigungsprodukt zum Spülen der Prothese (Abbildung 4). Der Provox Vega Plug ist eine Ersthilfe-Vorrichtung, mit der der Patient die Prothese bei einer Leckage vorübergehend verschließen kann (Abbildung 5). 3.4 Zusätzliche Produkte Provox HME: Ein HME, Heat- and Moisture Exchanger (Wärme- und Feuchtigkeitstauscher), stellt verlorene nasale Funktionen zum Teil wieder her (Aufwärmen und Anfeuchten der Atemluft, Atemwiderstand).   • Page 17 3.3 Accessoires La brosse Provox Brush / Provox Brush XL est utilisée par le patient pour nettoyer l’intérieur de la prothèse (Fig. 3). La poire de rinçage Provox Flush est un dispositif supplémentaire permettant le rinçage de la prothèse (Fig. 4). Le Provox Vega Plug est un outil de secours utilisé par le patient pour arrêter temporairement les fuites à travers la prothèse (Fig. 5). 3.4 Dispositifs supplémentaires Provox HME : échangeur de chaleur et d’humidité, compense partiellement la perte de la fonction nasale (qui consiste à réchauffer l’air, à l’humidifier et à restaurer la résistance respiratoire). Provox FreeHands HME : Échangeur de chaleur et d’humidité associé à une valve automatique pour trachéostome, conçu pour permettre la phonation mains libres. Provox LaryTube : Canule trachéale en silicone destinée à maintenir le trachéostome ouvert et sert de support pour d’autres dispositifs de réhabilitation du système Provox. Provox LaryButton : Canule trachéale souple en silicone fixée par autorétention.

  • Page 20 3.3 Accessori Provox Brush/Provox Brush XL sono gli scovolini usati dal paziente per pulire la parte interna della protesi (Figura 3). Provox Flush è uno strumento di pulizia supplementare che permette di irrigare la protesi (Figura 4).   • Page 23 3.3 Accesorios El Provox Brush/Provox Brush XL debe utilizarlo el paciente para limpiar el interior de la prótesis (figura 3). Provox Flush es un dispositivo de limpieza adicional que permite lavar la prótesis (figura 4). Provox Vega Plug es una herramienta de primeros auxilios que puede utilizar el paciente y que bloquea temporalmente las fugas a través de la prótesis (figura 5). 3.4 Dispositivos adicionales Provox HME: intercambiador de calor y humedad, que restaura parcialmente las funciones nasales perdidas (calentar, humidificar, ofrecer resistencia a la respiración). Provox FreeHands HME: intercambiador de calor y humedad combinado con una válvula de traqueostoma automática, diseñado para permitir el habla sin utilizar las manos.

Provox Flush är endast avsedd för patienter som av läkare bedömts kunna följa anvisningar för handhavande utan läkares överinseende. • Vissa kostråd, som dagligt intag av yoghurt eller kärnmjölk med mjölksyrabakterier, anses hjälpa mot kraftig överväxt av candida. VARNING: Använd endast Provox originaltillbehör avsedda för användning med Provox Vega vid rengöring av ventilen.
