The battery switch of the battery cabinet must be disconnected. When there are multiple
battery strings connected in parallel, all battery switches need to be disconnected. Ensure that
all battery switches are disconnected during replacement.



Procedure
Step 1 Remove the cables connected to the battery from the UPS rear.
Step 2 Determine the position of the faulty battery MCB, and open the corresponding cabinet door.
Step 3 Loosen the captive screws on the circuit breaker panel, and remove the circuit breaker panel,
as shown in

Step 4 Switch a multimeter to the DC voltage mode to measure the voltage between positive and
negative copper bars at the upper part of the battery switch. If the voltage is lower than 36 V
DC for 1 minute, replace the battery MCB.
Step 5 Remove the three cables from the upper and lower parts on the battery MCB, as shown in
Figure

Tools: electroprobe, insulation gloves, flat-head screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver,
multimeter.
Materials: A spare battery MCB of the same model is available and functional.
The battery MCB is damaged or faulty and cannot work.
