Elevate both wings of the main module and remove
the tape fixating the cable of the squeeze protection
switches on the main module. Run the switch cables to
one side of the bed and run the free end underneath
the first crosstube and on top of the second crosstube
towards the foot end of the bed. Connect the cable
to the longest end of the splitter cable R. Fix each of
the cables from the squeeze protection switches with a
plastic strip at the crosstube and Soft Tilt frame, facing
the head end of the bed.

Ensure that all cables run underneath the bed slats and
fasten one motor cable together with the switch cable
on side of the bed and the second motor cable on the
other side of the bed, with three plastic strips on each
side. The first strip is placed on the crossbar and the
remaining two on the side tube towards the foot end
of the bed.
Move the bed all the way up and down to ensure no
cables are getting squeezed.
Mounting the arms and cover
1. Ensure both wings of the main module are slightly
elevated, so the connections for the arms are accessible.

Connect the four arms with the main module, ensuring
the arms with the hinge is placed over the knee bend
hinge on the bed and that the curved shaped sides of
all arms are pointing outwards. Fix the four arms with
the Allen bolts and tighten the wing-nuts facing inwards.
Ensure the safety washers are placed underneath the
wing-nuts.

IMPORTANT!
When mounting, ensure that the four arms
are in a horizontal position and adjust them
if necessary
To adjust the position of the arms, fold them up at the
joints to the main module and adjust screw U until
the arms are in a horizontal position when folded back
down.

Mount the cover by sliding the pockets over the head
end and foot end arms. The head end of the cover is
marked by "TOP".
IMPORTANT!
The Soft Tilt must not be used without the cover.
5. Place and secure the mattress onto the Soft Tilt.
a. Release the Velcro fastener of both straps on the side
of the cover and fold them away to the side.
b. Place the mattress onto the bed on top of the Soft
Tilt (for compatible mattresses see 9 Technical Data,
page 21 ).
c. Guide the straps over the mattress and refix the
Velcro fastener to tightly secure the mattress to the
Soft Tilt.
