Installation
When connecting the components, remember that the fan boards must be cleaned
on a regular basis (see page 9). Therefore, the boards must not be covered by cables.
To be able to easily replace the IO cards, we recommend bundling the cables of a
card. Plan the cable lengths to the IO cards so that you can replace all cards at any
time without having to unplug the cables from the IO cards.
Installing and connecting user modules
The
Fiber
variants of the user modules use components with laser technology
which comply with laser class 1.
They meet the requirements in accordance to
U.S. CFR 1040.10
and
Mind the following instructions when dealing with laser beams:
Avoid direct eye exposure to beam on page 4
Always connect optical connections or cover them with protection caps on page 4
Only use G&D certified transmission modules on page 4
NOTE:

Target Modules and User Modules
Connect the console devices to the different user modules.
Connect the Transmission interfaces of the individual user modules to one
Dynamic Port of a compatible IO card.
