10.1“ HANDHELD OPERATING PANEL HGW 1033 Transport/Storage This device contains sensitive electronics. During transport and storage, high mechanical stress must therefore be avoided. For storage and transport, the same values for humidity and vibration as for operation must be maintained! CAUTION During transport, temperature and humidity fluctuations may occur.

10.1“ HANDHELD OPERATING PANEL HGW 1033 10 Operation/Start-up For safety reasons, the HGW is set to a special “delivery mode”. During the initial start-up, the HGW is still in this mode which is automatically deactivated during the charging process. The operating panel can be mounted onto magnetic components, for exam- ple, directly on the machine.

Take into consideration that depending on the quality of the USB-C supply or its performance, the charging process can take significantly longer.
Problems can arise if a control is connected to an IP network, which contains modules that do not run on a SIGMATEK operating system. With such de- vices, Ethernet packets could be sent to the control with such a high fre- quency (i.e.
10.4 Operation 10.4.1 General The HGW 1033 is operated via the touch screen. To avoid damage to the touch screen, it can only be operated using the fin- gers or an appropriate stylus. Suitable gloves are also permitted for the touch technology, as long as they do not damage the device (e.g.

When performing maintenance on the HGW 1033, also include its base station as well as well the system-expanding com- ponents. 13.2.1 Calibrating the Touch Screen The touch screen is calibrated at the factory.
10.1“ HANDHELD OPERATING PANEL HGW 1033 14 Disposal The HGW contains a Li-Ion battery. When disposing of the panel, the national electronic scrap regulation must be observed. Neither the handheld operating panel nor the base station can be discarded with domestic waste.
10.1“ HANDHELD OPERATING PANEL HGW 1033 16 Application Information 16.1 Visualization WARNING In the application/visualization, the battery status can be indicated acousti- cally and visually (in this case, a configurable server is available in the hard- ware class). It is recommended that a warning is triggered with a remaining charge of 10 %.
10.1“ HANDHELD OPERATING PANEL HGW 1033 16.2 Updates CAUTION Operating system updates can only be performed when battery has at least 50% capacity and the HGW is being charged via the base station. Non-compliance can lead to data loss and malfunction.
