3.1

Face shield with CLIP

The APS...SC face shield is positioned above the safety helmet and both clips are snapped into the
slot of the helmet. Ensure tight fit (see Figure 1, page 7).
Note concerning the exchange of the visor holder
The visor holder can be exchanged if necessary or if it is damaged (see accessories, Table 2, page 8). At
first, the visor holder and the visor should be carefully removed from the safety helmet.
The visor holder should be removed from the visor as follows (see also Figure 1, page 7):
APS ... type

Turn the five locking noses into the relevant slot of the visor. Then remove the visor from the visor
holder.
APS T ... type
Â
Release the centre locking mechanism of the visor holder from the relevant slot of the visor and turn
the visor out of the visor holder. Then the visor can be removed from the two outer locking noses.
The new visor holder or visor of both types is mounted in reverse order.
Important: The chin protector of the visor must not be removed, it is permanently fixed!
3.2

Face shield wioth STRAP

The APS...FS face shield is positioned in front of the safety helmet. The edge protection of the face
shield is inserted into the shield edge of the safety helmet. At the same time, the strap (rubber) is stret-
ched over the shell of the safety helmet (see Figure 2, page 7).
