2. Application

The APS... arc-fault-tested face shield is used in combination with the ESH U... safety helmet for
electricians. The ESH U... safety helmet for electricians with APS... face shield is approved for work
on or in the vicinity of live installations (1000 V a.c. or 1500 V d.c.).
The safety helmet with face shield protects the wearer from hazardous electric shock.
If used as intended, the combination of safety helmet and face shield provides a high degree of pro-
tection against the risks of an arc fault. Based on a risk analysis, further personal protective equipment
such as gloves, garment, etc. has to be worn!
