    Important Notes Terminals supplied by Diebold Nixdorf comply with the respective safety regulations for data- processing installations and information technology installations, including electrical office equipment for use within an office environment. WARNING Whenever work of any kind is done on the device, as well as when data ca- bles are plugged and unplugged, the device must be completely discon- nected from the line voltage.
  • Page 8 • The terminal and other information technology hardware should only be connected to electrical supply networks with a separate protective earth wire (PE). This type of electri- cal supply network is referred to as a TN-S network. Do not use PEN conductors. Also follow the recommendations set forth in DIN VDE 0100 Part 540, Appendix C2 as well as EN50174-2, §5.4.3 (www.DIN.de).

    Installation Safety Note CAUTION Risk of crushing! Always wear safety gloves and safety shoes according ISO 20345 with toe cap, closed heel area and energy absorbing heel area while transporting or assembling the device. USA: Safety shoes with class 1 toe cap according ASTM F 2412 and ANSI Z41.1 in its current versions.
  • Page 14 Remove the plate from the top of the pillar (1). Place the front card dispenser housing over the stand and place it at the bottom.
  • Page 15 Then screw the screw plate back onto the stand (20Nm, 15 Lbf ft). Grasp the K-two at the handles (see arrows)…..
  • Page 16 …..set the K-two into place on the stand and fix it with 8x M6x16 counter sunk screws (see also K-two installation manual). Remove the handles.
  • Page 17 Pull up the front card dispenser housing to the stop (see arrow).
  • Page 18 Fix the card dispenser housing with 3 pcs. M6x10 at both sides (see arrows).
  • Page 19 Push the cable harness through the opening to the K-two (see arrow) and connect it to the PC box. Guide through the cable here Lay the wiring harness at the following minimum distance from the printer. This will avoid squeezing of the cables by the card reader in the door.
  • Page 20 The K-two kiosk comes with steel covers mounted instead of magnetic card reader and EFT. These devices will be installed by the customer. Remove the cover and install the devices. Install the ground strap of EFT the following way: Card Reader UX300...
  • Page 21 PinPad UX100 Open the front door, add the devices and connect as shown in the picture below.
  • Page 22 The housing of the NFC Reader UX400 is made of plastic and does not have to be con- nected with a ground strap. Hang the rear housing into place and push it downwards to the stop (1). Hook in the back of the card dispenser housing and secure it with the self locking M4 nuts (2).
  • Page 23 Put in the power supply unit from above (1) and plug the power cord (2).
  • Page 24 Loosen the screw (1) and push the cover backwards (2).
  • Page 25 Remove three screws (see arrows) and remove the back cover of the card dispenser. Set the stacker into place….
  • Page 26 … and fix it with two screws at the rear side (see arrows)….. … and one at the front side of the card dispenser (see arrow). Mount the cover.
  • Page 27 Attach 4x M5x10 screws to the card dispenser and do not tighten (see arrows).
  • Page 28 Insert the card dispenser with screws into the keyholes (1) and push it forward (2). Tighten the 4xM5 screws from below (3), then push the cover back again and secure it with the screw (4).
  • Page 29 Plug in the power and data cables (1). Fill in the cards and close the door.
  • Page 30 The cables for the card dispenser are integrated in the wiring harness. Plug in the power and data cables. Fill in the cards and lock the door.

Diebold Nixdorf disposes of old terminals in an environmentally responsible manner at a re- cycling center that is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified, as is the entire company.
