Step
1. Connect red meter test lead on DVOM to
battery positive (+) post.
2. Connect black meter test lead on DVOM to
battery negative (-) post.
3. Set DVOM to read volts DC.

4. Start and run engine at full speed (3600
RPM).
5. Observe voltage on DVOM.
6. Is reading 12.2-14.5 volts DC?
