amalgam container to slide it off and there must be enough space above to dismantle
the separator.
Our machines are built for the proper functioning of Hydrocyclone and for a separation rate
complying with the 11143 ISO regulation. However, the following information can be useful.
Inside the Hydrocyclone, the max. pressure acceptable is 80 kPa. A higher pressure
would cause a fl ow exceeding the allowed 5.5 l/min and would impair the separation and
jeopardize the integrity of the separator. If a pump is used to force the fl uid into the separa-
tor, its max. pressure must be checked, to prevent it from exceeding the mentioned value.
To avoid the clogging of the holes (2) that could only reduce the fl ow, the fl uid must be
fi ltered through a fi lter-net not larger than 0.8 mm before entering the separator. The
AC 56 P.B. (21) must be fi xed by means of the holes on the rear part of the cone.

Maintenance and periodic checks reserved to authorized engineers

(Fig. 1-2-5 , pag. 51-52-54)
• Biological danger, danger of infections from epidemic diseases
• Compulsory direction of fl ow and rotation sense
Besides the amalgam container replacement, carry out a functioning test of the photo-
diodes (22) by placing a metal tool between the two functioning photodiodes. If necessary,
clean the liquid inlet holes (2) and the cyclone cone once a month fi rstly; afterwards the
checks can be delayed to state the suitable timing. After disconnecting from the power
supply the appliance where the separator is installed on, empty the separator from the
liquids, replace the amalgam container. The holes can be reached by unscrewing the two
screws (16) and dismantling the separator as per split-up drawing, see fi g. 5: the holes
can be seen and inspected then. Gauge the diameter of the holes (it must not exceed 2.8
mm) with a caliper. Check the cleaning and integrity of the cone; replace seals, lubricating
new ones with Lubri-Jet before assembling them.
Check the functioning of the draining pump or the centrifugal separator as they can
infl uence the running of the Hydrocyclone. Check relays, printed boards, and function-
ing of the motors. The stop of the centrifugal separator causes the automatic stop of the
whole appliance: both aspirator and amalgam separator.

Notes

On request, we can supply kits for the external installation of the separator - on the main
appliances present on the market. We would like to remind that all our amalgam separa-
tors are sold with electronic amalgam level control. The manufacturer, concessionaries,
agents and area service engineers are at disposal for further details.

Guarantee

The appliance is guaranteed for a year from the date of sale, provided that the guarantee
card addressed to the manufacturer is returned with date of sale, retailer's stamp and
customer's name. The guarantee and manufacturer's liability cease in case the appliance
and the plants have been tampered with operations of any kind, carried out by unqualifi ed
persons and unauthorized by the manufacturer.

Transport of second-hand appliances

• Prior to packing, clean and sanitize with PULI-JET or with other suitable product.
• Place the appliance into a polyethylene bag, seal it and pack in a 3-layer corrugated
board.
