Creating Data Profiles
Data profiles are files that contain the information
needed to set up your computer for a data call.
Like
other files that you work with on your UNIX PC, data
profiles are stored in the Filecabinet.
A folder named
Profiles is set up for you when the ATE software is
installed.
ATE uses the following types of data profiles:
o
Modem profiles, which set up communications
using the built-in modem and telephone lines
o
RS-232 (or serial) profiles, which set up
communications using the RS-232 ports
You can use existing data profiles or create new ones.
You can create data profiles from the Office, the
Filecabinet, or the Telephone Manager's Create Data
Entry form.
The rest of this chapter tells you how to create, save,
and modify a data profile.
