Setting
Up
the Software Data Calls
Flow Control from Host
This field sets up flow control for data being
~
from your UNIX PC to a host computer, so that no data
is lost if the host computer's input queue becomes full
or transmission is interrupted.
Select one of the following:
o
Yes (the default and recommended setting) to
enable flow control for data sent to the host
computer.
a
No if the host computer does not use flow
control.
For flow control to work, the host computer must be set
up to send an XOFF (DC3) signal to the UNIX PC when its
input queue is almost full and to send an XON (DCl)
signal when it is ready to receive more data from the
UNIX PC.
Auto Login
Note
Set Flow Control from Host to Yes for
accessing other UNIX PCs.
The Auto Login: field lets you set up an automatic
login sequence.
An
automatic login provides a login
name, password, account number, and so forth, so that
you log into another computer's system automatically
when you place a data call.
Automatic login sequences
save you the effort of typing this information every
time you place the call.
You can also set up a file to
receive the results of these commands.
Creating an Automatic Login Seqyence
To set up an automatic login sequence:

On the Terminal Setup form, point to the Auto
Login: field.

Select Yes.
