Users familiar with the AT&T 513 BCT keyboard will
notice that the UNIX PC keyboard has the same keys in
the same locations.
UNIX PC and 513 BCT Mode Transmitted Key Codes
Tables B-2, B-3, B-4, and B-5 give the codes
transmitted by each UNIX PC key when UNIX PC or 513 BCT
emulation is selected.
In normal operation these codes
are processed by the host computer when they are
received in the datastream from the UNIX PC; they need
not concern the end user.
This information is provided
in support of software development activities.
The tables cover each of the four major UNIX PC key
groups.
The location of these groups on the UNIX PC
keyboard is shown in Figure B-1.
For each key, the
tables show the codes transmitted when the key is
pressed alone, with the Shift key held down, and with
the Ctrl key held down.
The spaces in the code
sequences are included for readability; no spaces are
transmitted.
Where no sequence appears in a column,
nothing is transmitted for that key or combination.
